I watched Lyle's video when I was just starting the search for my Corvette. And I took his advice, homing in on the 2001-2004 model years. I took it one point further, in that I rejected cars with the "Ride Control" feature; to be honest, the regular shocks are stiff enough for my relaxed, leisurely "Old Man in a Corvette" style of driving.
Oddly enough, I circled back to one of the first Vettes I'd driven, and after it passed an independent pre-purchase inspection, I made it my own.

I'm not trying to put the guy down, I'm sure he knows more about the cars than I do. But often, it's faster, and you can get more detailed info from reading an enthusiast forum, like this one. But I know youtubers want their "15 minutes of fame" and I know some would rather get info from watching someone in a video than reading about the subject.
