It's been Totaled.
He says he looked but didn't see her.

Anne is fine, no one was injured and that's what's most important.
Long story short, got the call and it's got a bent frame along with the damage shown. They totaled it out and it's going to salvage.
I've gone to Concours and emptied it out, along with taking off things they wouldn't pay for, like a Curb Alert, Apple adapter, Loyds front and rear mats, personal plates, chrome Corvette Lic.frame, a partition and tray behind the seats and car cover.
It's surprising the stuff we add on to these cars. Listing it here has made me realize that I forgot to get the Window Valet unit from the OBD connector.
Oh well, put it in 14 years ago, easy to forget.
After a bit of changes, corrections, we agreed on a settlement price.
We're not happy about the car, but happy with the settlement value. They've wired the funds to our bank and the shopping begins.
We still have our C6 Bella, our Tahoe and my truck, so we're alright there. Depending on what we get, what goes next. Still just thinking but considering another SUV and selling the Tahoe.
I'll round up all my C5 stuff to sell or trade and place up an ad later.
We're thinking about this Traverse at the moment, but we'll see.
Anyway, that's our long story for this week. We're good.

Eddie and Rover:
Thanks guys. We do still have 3 other rides. These two and our older Tahoe.
Thinking of selling/trading in the tahoe for another SUV, perhaps the Traverse pictured above.
Haven't gone out looking yet, so yes, the hunt is on.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The 2 ft. extended hitch did a lot of damage going in and then tearing thing on the way out.
They did the inspection and said the frame was fractured/bent and they also couldn't even get 5 or 6 of the parts needed to fix it.
Costs on parts and labor went over the Nevada 65% law. Nevada requires a salvage on it.
It was rubbing the inside of the tire, if turned to the right. I don't want it back, if it's not right.
Besides I felt a $22,300 settlement was very fair, for a 20 year old car.
The money has been sent to our bank yesterday.
Nobody's getting rich on repairing that car. No one hurt, so we're good with it.

I'm not interested in parting it out either, even if I could.
The salvage company picked it up, so it's gone now.

We bought it neither time. First time we bought a Cruze diesel. At the time we REALLY didnt need the room.. We also were looking at the Equinox diesel.
Fast forward to now. We needed a larger vehicle so was shopping SUV's... Again hit the Traverse and Equinox... still a no on both. Drove the Blazer also...nope.
Ended up in an Explorer ST. FANTASTIC SUV. IMO nothing GM makes right now, save a Tahoe IMO, compares to the Explorer line.
Price wise Explorer vs. Traverse seem to be fairly similar based on MSRP. I would expect a better discount from GM vs. Ford though.
I did not particularly like the Ford buying experience compared to all the GM cars I have bought over the years... So far thats my only turn off from the Ford experience.

Nailed it in a bad spot right in the corner.
Good to move on as you are content with that decision.
Good luck on a new vehicle.

That does seem fair for sure. Sucks that this happened to you though & as you said, most important - no person was hurt (physically).
Good luck on your next purchase!
