i have a bent nose insignia on my 02 c5 and just wondered if an iron would work flattening it out to shape. it got caught when removing the cover one time.
I think they are surprisingly expensive, my needs to be replace too, and I remember them being $75 or more.
If you find a good price, please share the link

You say it is bent - is it just the tape has come loose and would some new tape put it back in shape? They are not terribly difficult to remove with a hair dryer and some fishing line. Just be aware that there are two locating pins on the front emblem so sawing through the double sided tape is not going to be a straight shot.
I'd replace it too, they aren't terribly expensive and it's easy to do. I just replaced both on my '03 for $140. The '03 badges were a little more than the standard C5 badges. The front and rear badges are the same size, but are not the same part number. The front badge has 2 short posts that go into alignment holes on the front bumper cover, the rear badge doesn't have them. I got them both on Amazon, was the cheapest price I could find for original GM badges.
I ended up buying to rear emblems. I have the 50th Anniversary edition. Excluding the pins for the front they are identical. Since the front cost almost double the rear, with two rear emblems saved some money with no issues. Been on the car for 3 months.
i think what i will probably do is repair it by removing it and then if it gets too messy.....just order a new one from an alternate parts house. thanks so much for all of you that offered your help and asisstance.
