Doing a quick look at completed listings on C5 Corvettes I'd say the asking prices of Z06s are high but only a few are selling. A lot of the coupes are selling around $10,000
I think C5Z prices are holding pretty steady, and there is still a strong demand I agree with Costa, the number of available C5Z's has dropped quite a bit since I was shopping in September. I look on Autotrader once a month or so and was surprised at how few there were compared to 6 months ago. The reasonably priced ones are selling pretty quick, while many of the super low mileage, mint ones, that may be somewhat overpriced (the $30k+ ones), don't sell as fast for obvious reasons.
Corvette prices have been going up across the board lately. They still are not "investment" cars. However, prices are pretty strong. Good luck with your search.
I have had the same thought recently as I watch pricing on various fb pages. C5s in general are bumping up, and Zs lead the pack. I got my Z with h/c/blower for 17k two years ago. Now I see lesser cars or more miles and demands between 24 and 29. Some of those asks are insane, but the trend is up. Maybe I got in at the right time.

In general it seems like used car prices are up, Corvettes included. The pandemic and shutdown of new car manufacturers has helped with the rise in prices. How long that will last, who knows.

This is what I think as well. Every car l’ve sold in the last ten years, I’ve been feeling like I sold for too cheap because it looks like I couldn’t replace a single one of them today for what l sold for.
I paid $12.5K for my very stock ‘99 vert with 53K miles three years ago. Weekly, I shop the internet looking for one (C5, C6, or C7) I’d like to trade for, but I’ve yet to see one I’ve thought would be better for the money than the one I have.
