One of my cradle bolts got loose after making the mistake hitting it with a power tool.
Luckily i could save it by drilling a hole in the unthreaded part
Then i did insert the drill backwards through the hole and got it clamped down with the drill and then with the 21mm wrench got it up in place , really a close call 😅
Hopefully this can help someone who have the same trouble , lesson learned do not use powertools on the cradle bolts !

I know hindsight is 20/20. That said, a drill bit is NOT a good thing to side load!! They are hardened, and therefore very brittle. A roll pin/split pin is much safer. But you did come up with a very good workaround!!! Strange how C5s differ. I've had both cradles off, the rear once, the front 5 or 6 times. ALWAYS used an air impact-NEVER any trouble...Yet!

Yes they are brittle just did not think about it at the time when i did the job a little bit of panic when it got loose , much better to use a pin as you say , when i got the drill locked up it was no problem.
I think i was stressed and punched the power tool at max directly instead of going slow that caused it to get loose.
