If you just purchased a low mileage C5 with all the original hoses, tires, differential and trans oil, and so on, I have attached a PDF file that might save you some time searching for OEM and aftermarket part numbers. While many of these part numbers are common for C5's, some may be specific to the 2004 base model (which is what I have). So please verify applications before buying parts. The list should at the least get you on the right track. I found most of the hoses and filters on Amazon, a couple from GM Parts Direct, and a particular heater hose at O'Reilly (its a straight length of hose, but GM spec). Amazon also carriers the pulleys, tensioners, and Continental belts. I'm sure there are many other sources, but it was hard enough just finding some of the parts numbers, so I made shopping easy where I could.
I went through the list of consumables that I felt were either too old, or should just be changed for good measure. In addition, you may wish to add some upgrades like the skip shift eliminator and LMC5 steering wheel lockout eliminator. The RPO codes for a 2004 are also listed.
Enjoy!
NOTE: THESE ARE THE PARTS "I" CHOSE... Your preferences may be different!
I bought a low mileage '01 and while everything seems to be holding up fine I do worry about the rubber bits and I do need to get a skip shift eliminator. Saved this for later.
