I was looking to get a sub box for the back of my c5 convertible. Looking on Amazon the have ones for 10in and 12in but what threw me off is that some boxes said they were not compatible with convertibles. Is the well back there different from the other corvettes? Realistically I was just looking to put one 12 and power the hell out of it and I about bought a box made for the c5 with a beefy alpine 12in sub that was a good deal but then I started researching the boxes themselves and they said they don't work with convertibles. What gives? Thank you for any input. I'd love to see some links if you have anything that worked!
What 12 inch did you find that was both "beefy" and able to survive in such little airspace?
Those center storage section pre-fab boxes will fit in either a convertible or a coupe. You just might not be able to put your center storage cover back on top depending on which one you go with - which shouldn't be a big deal.

Looks like it barely fits. .85 cubes for a sealed enclosure - exactly what those little center storage boxes can get.
I'd go for it. If you can live without the center section for storage, it won't sound bad, really. They fill the cabin nicely. Just get a strong grille for the sub if you load cargo into the car at all. I was always living in fear of something puncturing my sub when it was there.
