I have a 2003 with aftermarket wheels (which I am still not sure of the origin) and the lug nuts are currently 12 point inverted (meaning instead of a socket to get it off, it's inside the like torx female). Well, I'm putting on new brakes and of course one of them stripped. They are M12x1.5 but very thin. And the wheel won't take a standard lug, they appear to be too big. Any recommendations for lug nuts that are thin and won't rust out? I'd prefer closed over open, but at this point I just need some lugs because these are worrying me that they will just strip further on the other ones.
I don't have any experience with these, but I am thinking of getting a set so that I don't have to take the decorative covers off the OEM nuts to check torque for track days-
I've been using eBay/Amazon splined lug nuts on my daily driver and Jeep with 35s that's mostly used for rock crawling for years now. No need to spend $60-100 on brand name lug nuts
