Default SLP Rear Spoiler

Has the SLP rear spoiler for C5’s been discontinued? I see it’s no longer available through RPI Design. Anyone know where I might be able to get one? Thanks!

Yeah, discontinued a couple of years ago.

RPI claimed to have them in stock a few months ago, but then in true RPI fashion, that wasn't the case.

I forget which vendor now and I have it saved on my pc, but someone is making a clone in carbon fiber currently. I am tempted.

I'll check my save files when I get home as I believe I saved the image with the manufacturer. They don't say they are cloning the slp, but they are cloning the slp.... But I'm trusting a loose memory from over the winter so it may just be "close."

I found this company (Corvette Creationz) that make something "similar" to the SLP. Just don't know how good the quality is and if it's available unpainted or not in carbon fiber. Also, don't know what material they use.

Corvette Creationz: http://corvettecreationz.com/product...n-carbon-wing/

RPI Designs: https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1471

RPI Designs: https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1222

I'd definitely prefer the original SLP rear spoiler instead of a clone. Wish they were still making it.

The Corvette Creations ones looks right on.

This is the one I had found which seemed pretty "close" in design:

Yeah I saw this one as well that's not on carbon fiber: https://www.extremedimensions.com/97...Sdesign-W.html

I think Extreme Dimensions and Corvette Creationz "might" be the same company with just two different websites for branding. Their non-CF version is $319 and make out of fiberglass. I think the SLP spoiler was actually OEM-type urethane so much more durable and easier to fit. Not sure how either the ED or CC one is.

One thing that did have me puzzled is their description of it ...
  • Hand laid, high quality 6 oz. fiberglass
  • Signature black finish
  • High quality weather resistant aluminum mesh grille (where applicable) ... (what's a grille got to do with a spoiler ???)
  • Proprietary polymer blend for maximum flexibility
  • Increased durability and longer service life
  • Modified Aerodynamics
  • Reduced damage rate up to 75% ... (Reduced damage ??? You mean from things hitting the spoiler ???)
  • Limited warranty and satisfaction guarantee

Mine's a '02 Millenium Yellow Z06 but I'm sure it could be repainted. Any chance you could send me some pics of it via PM? Just let me know. Thanks!

Corvette Creationz/ Extreme Dimensions/ Duraflex are all sold through Extreme Dimensions. Should all be the same part(s). I was very tempted to try one out since I can pick up locally, but having their front and rear fenders, and front Vortex lip, I didn't want to have bad fitment issues with that spoiler. I've seen some pictures of fitment issues with that specific spoiler and it's not something I wanted to take the gamble on haha.

Hey Dreamr---send me your email and I'll forward pics of the spoiler. Just took it down from the garage shelf. I have the original SLP install manual, the double-faced tape and the alcohol packet. Never installed it myself because I was afraid I'd screw it up. I'm getting alot of input on it and now I'm thinking maybe I should take it to a shop and have it put on. Send me your email and I'll send you pics on the spoiler Thursday--Steven
