I like the cam on that, it's a nice not-too-aggressive setup: 228/230 duration, .585 in./.585 in. lift, 112 lobe separation angle . Depending on your year, you might need difference valve covers (if 98 or 99). I'd consider headers as well, if you do, also consider ARP locking nuts so they don't come loose. I'd also grab some heat shielding wrap and/or heat socks and such to protect the spark plug wires (since you probably want some new ones with it anyway), and any other areas you might want to protect.
Also, obviously, get anti-seize, copper gasket sealant RTV, things like that along with your change of oil.
Can't wait to hear what it sounds like. Should have a bit of a growl, but not be obnoxious.
I have some long tube headers and my vehicle is a 2000. Should I look into upgrading the intake manifold and lifters? It doesn't seem like they are sold in this kit.
Isn't this the point when somebody points out that a supercharger can get the performance for a lot less work -- and at $3.5K, maybe even a little less money?

BUT, if you do a cam/headers setup with a good fuel system with a supercharger that's the difference between 7-800rwhp vs 450-500 on a stock setup
Has anyone used this kit before? What additional parts should I look into getting along with this kit?
Thanks!
Im running the TFS GENX heads but with a 228R cam from Texas Speed. I’m also running the Harland Sharp rollers. At the same time I did....LS7 lifters, LS2 timing chain, Moroso high volume oil pump, ATI super damper, new water pump and all the tensioners/pulleys. I used all ARP fasteners going back together. Pretty much a new mid section. I figured while it was apart I’d freshen everything up for the HP increase. I’m putting 469 down at the rear tires.
