I'm losing alot of mph the harder I hook, but I could care less. The ET is a smile on the face maker. I can't believe I actually pulled a 1.65, no doubt thanks to J-Rod and his little tips here and there. I launched damn near 6000 and it rewarded me with the best 60 and ET ever for myself.
Anyway it was good seeing you again foir the second time this weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the 20th. I'd like to get one more shot in.
J-Rod, I'll be out of town next weekend, so thats why I doubled up this past weekend. I'll be back out there next January. Go reel in some 11.5s next Friday! :smash:
The clutch is original stock unit. I've been changing the fluid before heading out to the track and pumping it after I trip the first amber during staging. I actually hotlapped 4 runs in a 50 minute time span with 60fts all around 1.6s (1.74, 1.65, 1.66, and 1.68). Clutch held up like a champ. I also tried more air in the BFGs (25psi) and a higher launch worked best (the 1.74 was from 4800...bogged....all the other 1.6s were around 5800 and felt much better). This is all info per J-Rods instructions....Right on the money J-Rod!! :D
And let me add one more thing...I do not powershift. This is all granny shifted runs. I've tried to keep m right foot planted and just can't do it; it's like an involuntary reflex to lift. The car is my daily driver (over 10K on it already) and I just can't bring myself to brutalize it since I suck at shifting.
Blu nice runs. If and I say IF you want to get used to power shifting a good excercise is to practice at parcial throtle in your everyday driveing. That will get you more comfortable with not changeing throtle position on the shifts. The differance in et's can be mesured in.0X but you will pick up a couple of MPH with power shifts. Congrats on the better times!!! Ric
