Default C5 exhaust

Hey guys, new guy here. Just picked up an 01 C5 convertible with 60,000km on her.
Looking to get an axle-back exhaust (mufflers). Eventually going to go with long tubes and an x pipe, but need something for the meantime.
Any recommendations??
The louder the better, but still want some decent back pressure and not too worried about drone. Seen some pretty decent reviews about Billy boat bullets.
Any advice helps, appreciate it!!
Nick

I installed the quad tip Borla Stingers (classic version) on mine and I love it. Some slight drone at lower speeds, but when you get in it, wow!

1) You DONT want back pressure
2) Go to youtube and listen to videos. SO many options/prices/tones for exhaust.
3) Want loud AND no drone? Corsa Sport or Extreme. Or Billy Boat PRT system

B&B bullets is what I have with long tubes and catless mids and it’s about as loud as you can get. Just save extra money for dynamat LOL I’ve done the entire rear end 2 layers and still need to do the rest of the car. You won’t be able to have a conversation without it

Corsa and Borla make very good exhaust systems. But there are other brands out there that you may like better. Your best bet is to find an opportunity to listen to several examples of each and then decide which one is the right one for you.

+1 for Corsa and Borla. They both make great systems that are loud, but have no drone. The exhaust bypass mode is SUPER cheap at around $200.00. Although it likely won't be as loud as you want. Just thought I'd throw it out there since it costs so little. Go to some local shows and listen to what's out there. Exhaust preference is too subjective. You need to hear them for yourself.

Another vote for Corsa. I have the corsa touring axleback with texas speed long tubes and a 3" catless x pipe. It screams at WOT but no drone on the freeway. I hear the Corsa Extremes are a lot louder.

I run the same thing "Corsa Sport" with LT's and catted mid pipe. I have no idea how people get Corsa Extreme. At that point you are running straight pipe...but with no drone lol.

I still have a Ti system that I'll never sell in case I want to be quiet again. OR do the bypass mod to.

People suggesting Borla and no drone...what system is it?

I currently have the Borla ATAK 140428. I don’t consider it loud, and it doesn’t drone either.

I’ve had 3 sets of B&B bullets and they are loud and they do drone, but damn they’re the best sounding axleback I’ve ever used!

I have the b&b bullets with LG long tubes, with cats. Get the cats, it’s to loud without them. I also have an automatic trans and made 340 at the wheels, you won’t be disappointed if you want loud.

a lot faster at the track too. Stock down to the paper filter I went 13.3 at 103mph

intake, headers, bullets, and a tune, best of 12.6 at 109mph.

agreed LOL everywhere I go people ask wtf I have on for exhaust. It sounds really nice and at high rpms it really screams while at the same time has a great tone. Not taking anything away from corsa or the others they all sound WAY better than stock
