Strong Smells
Took my 04 Vert out tonight for a Daddy Daughter ride, when back in the garage I can smell a very strong gas smell from the gas cap area with the cap on and another smell on right side (passenger) front engine bay I smell a burnt oil and some coolant smell. But have absolutely no leaks??? I did put a catch can on it the other day and already accumulated an ounce of oil this far, is this normal after only a few minor drives and idling?

Gas smell: If you recently topped off the tank when filling, there may have been spillage into the drain that you smell. Or, if your VIN falls between 45110258 to 45125500 it may indicate a leak in the connector hose between the 2 gas tanks that occurs in 2004 C5's.
