Default Wheel fitment

I've been trying to research this but I guess maybe I'm not looking well enough.

Anyway one of my best friends passed away and left me his OEM ZR1 wheels I've wanted forever, I even have replicas right now.

Anyway, the sizes are 275/35/19 +40mm front and 315/35/20 +59mm rear.

Will these fit ok? I do plan on doing widebody fenders in the future but these have huge sentimental value to me.

Thanks in advance.

With the offsets you posted, I'm assuming those wheels are a C6 ZR1 fitment. Fronts are 19x10 with +40 offset and rears are 20x12 with +59. Yes, those wheels will bolt on a narrowbody C5 but fit is a different story. Normal offset for a 19x10 for a C5 would be a +57 and 12" width rear wheels are too wide. Wider fenders would be needed on both ends, along with 3/4" spacers on the rear.
Also, a 315/35/20 tire is 28.7" diameter, way too tall for the average C5.

What tire size would I need on the rear with the same width?

I'm not worried about the tires sticking out for now since I plan on getting fenders in the near future.

My current set are 25.6" in diameter, is it really that much of a difference?

Some options are:
315/30/20 @ 27.5" tall (max diameter and not my first choice for a 12" width wheel)
325/25/20 @ 26.4" tall
335/25/20 @ 26.6" tall
345/25/20 @ 26.7" tall

325 would fit?

Yes, it's the difference between fitting the car, or not.

I found some Pirelli tires at tire rack I'm going to pick up at that 325/25/20 size.

Thanks!

Now the fronts are 275/35/19 is that ok?

Those are 26.65" tall, tall enough that you may start to see issues with your car's Active Handling & Traction Control functions, probably a 50/50 chance. Not only that but a 275/35/19 is going to have a taller sidewall, than any of those rears I posted because of the 19/20 wheel diameter stagger. You may not like the look of that.
If it were my car and starting from scratch, I would go with a 275/30/19 front @ 25.6" tall and a 335/25/20 @ 26.6" tall. Great tire selection in those sizes and the sidewall heights will be even.

Okay well the fronts are brand new so I'll replace them later, as far as active handling goes my car doesn't even have it.
