Hey y'all,

So I just got a 2003 Z06. The tires are pretty old so I've been looking around at different tire shops around the area and nobody has any in stock which I pretty much expected, but even the tires that they can order are pretty limited. I am pretty surprised at how difficult the tires seem to come by. I am not wanting to spend a fortune on a new set of tires. I would like to keep it around $1,200-$1,400. Does anybody have any suggestions on the best place to shop for tires and a specific kind for this year model? I don't need any kind of special performance kind or anything like that; just basic tires.

Moved to C5 General. If you do a search on tires for a Z06 in that section, I know there have been some threads posted and have recommendations included in the responses.

Welcome to the Forum, Travis, and congratulations on your C5 Z06!
You may want to post your question in the C5 General section. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-1997-2004-2/
This section is really for "hellos".
I understand some of the original sizes are getting harder to find, but the C5 Z06 owners there should be able to help you out.
Best wishes with finding the tires you need.

Edit: Vetteman Jack has already gotten you moved. You will find what you need here.

Switch to a 275/305 combo and your tire availability goes up immensely.

Welcome to the forum. Tires seem to be the most common topic of discussion here.

I don’t see why you would have a problem buying a set of tires for 1200-1400 bucks. I went with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2’s on my C5. I’m putting 470 to the rear tires and have no problem with grip. My factory wheels have the Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3+. Never had a problem with those either. Stay with a good name brand, in the price range you mentioned, and you’ll be good. I ordered mine off Amazon with a seller that had inventory. Got em in like 3 days with free shipping.

If you search for a 255/35-17 or 275/35-17 front tire along with a 295/40-18 rear you should be able to find good selection.

I replaced my old Eagle F1s with Continental Extremecontact DWS06+ tires. 255/40-17, 295/35-18. I've been happy with them, as they are a decent tire and can handle average driving, and
you can have them delivered to you for aboot $900 and pay the shop a small fee to install.

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your car. As others have said, we'd love to see some pictures. I personally like Tire Rack for tires. You'll want to search by tire size instead of by car. Discount tire is okay too. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of tires to choose from for the stock Z06 rims. Many forum member choose to upgrade to 18" front rims, and 19' rear rims. This will open up a ton of options for tires. Good luck. I hope your car brings you many miles of smiles.
