I'm looking to replace the hood liner on an '04. Couple years back I order on for my C3. It came in a box all folded. Even after installed the fold marks where there. Not good. So now that I'm in the market for one for my C5. Does anyone know where to buy one that maybe is rolled up or some other manner than folded so I don't end up with the same issue I had in the past.
Depending on the issue with your current liner, I would suggest removing it and spraying it with Black Krylon BBQ Grill paint. If it's not too badly torn up, that will make it look like new. Plus, it will still function as it was intended. This is much cheaper than buying a new liner. Plus, you can easily respray later anytime the liner starts to look bad.

Buy one from the dealer if the part is still available. The hood liner is packaged inside a sturdy cardboard box and shipped direct to your dealer. It comes without any folds or creases, or at least it should.
If your current hood liner is in good shape other than some stains/dirt, try what MWWarlord suggests - sometimes doing so can make the hood liner look like new at a fraction of the cost.

I've done the black spray paint refresh on my C5 hood liner and it worked well. I did have to replace the liner on one of my other cars and found that this is an item that is best purchased from the dealership as you avoid shipping cost. While very light, the box for these things is enormous and shipping costs are prohibitive. Try the refresh and then, if you still need a new one, get it from the dealer.

The issue I have with the liner is not so much dirt but the thin outside layer is is separating from the liner. I've seen where people have used spray adhesive to glue the layer back on but towards the top the outer layer somehow stretched so when put it back in place there is too much material. I suppose I could slice it and cut out the extra but if anyone has any other ideas I would appreciate it. I also appreciate people suggesting to to refurbish my old one. Anything to save a buck I'm all for it.
I RARELY say this; the Chevy dealership is the best place to get a new headliner.
I'm going to try the refresh the hood liner on my black 99 one of these days. I'm embarrassed how the engine bay looks right now though she is a daily driver.

...but your Red '99 will not even accommodate a liner, if i am correct...your other 2 C5s will...
and btw Jay, it is a hood liner, not a "head" liner...

Doh!
Nope, the 02 does not and will not have a "head liner"
The cat didn't help much
It's the stock hood with polished stainless steel. The hood definitely gained some weight but still using stock struts. I've also now have strips of blue LEDs mounted under the two ridges. Man the was a b***h to run wires though the channels of the hood. The wiring to the car looks stock as it just replaced the stock hood light's wiring. The added hood LEDs really shine down onto the engines polished stainless steel. The light reflection can even be seen in daytime which is great for car shows.
