Default C7 back to C5 again !

Recently traded my 2016 yellow C7, manual trans Z51 in for a new car "daily driver" that was needed. There are other reasons for the trade that I wont go into right now. I did well on the trade with all that is going on with used Corvettes and used cars in general. That being said I would have cashed out for more selling retail but I just cant deal with tire kickers. Also there is a tax savings when trading for a new car. I bought a 2001 C5, manual trans, red exterior and tan interior. Car is loaded with all the goodies including sport seats, HUD etc. Car is in fairly good condition but you know with any used car expect to put a few grand into them and I am working out the bugs. The paint is a 9 out of 10, the interior is a 10 out of 10 so after I get a paint correction done it will be a 9.5. In any event I have now owned 5 Corvettes. A 1981, 1992, a brand new 2002 Z06, then an 06 GTO, 2019 370Z, then the 2016 C7. I really like the bit of rawness the C5 has and wish I had never sold my fully paid off 2002 Z06. That being said the 01 coupe is no slouch at all. Love LS engines as there are so many mods that can be done to raise HP to almost what ever you wish. So I will be posting photos of 2001 C5 soon and wishing the C7 forum all the best. This forum has been a great help with the C7 and I will be asking many questions on the C5 forum soon as its been a while since I owned this generation Corvette. Do I miss the C7? A little but I have learned almost any Corvette is a fun and beautiful car to own and drive. I look forward to getting and giving advise where I can. Moving forward I want to thank all the folks on the C7 forum and thank all of you on the C5 forum in advance for your assistance. Sincerely Johnny D

Something about a C5
Just bought my first a Z06 with 17k mikes. 03. Had multiple C6 and C7. Just love the fix roof coupe.
My son bought a Speedway white 02 with 25k miles what a beauty.

Congrats look forward to seeing the pictures. I just added a C5 to go with my 2017 Z06. Lucky enough for the first time to own 2 Corvettes at the same time since I purchased my first 28 years ago.

Congrats on finding a C5 that is right for you. The C5 is a very good platform and good that you are sticking with a Corvette.

Congrats on finding a nice C5. The C5 is one of the best looking Vettes in my opinion. They look good and still perform well for their age, plenty of aftermarket options as well. Enjoy!

I don't know anything about the C7. I was actually looking for a C5 when I ran across a C6 that had everything I was looking for and I was able to make a deal.

Congrats on the C5. Well done!
