Default Weatherstriping

Greetings. I have a 2000 c5. I need to replace weatherstripping over both doors. It seems to be rather expensive. Any ideas as to where to buy without breaking the bank? Thanks.

Unfortunately, weather stripping is expensive. I'm not sure how bad your current weatherstripping is. However, if it isn't too far gone, you may be able to resolve your issue by rubbing some dielectric grease on them. This can recondition the seals if they haven't completely torn or cracked. If you do need new ones, I would shop around. Make sure to check the transaction section before ordering from anyone as some of the places with really low prices have some issues.

Every Spring I apply a thin coat of dielectric grease to all weatherstripping. It keeps them nice a soft. As the above post suggested, give it a try before buying.

Good advice above. You would be amazed how a little dielectric grease or natural silicone lubricant will make the weathered weatherstripping look and feel.
