Hey guys, I should be getting my new vette relatively soon, and I was wondering what would be the best option for a dashcam. I'm looking for something that meets these requirements:
Has both front and rear cameras
60+ FPS, and preferably as high as possible recording resolution (I'm okay with spending money on a larger SD card to store the video files).
Relatively small and easy to hide behind the rearview mirror
Has a parking mode
I'm aware that something as nice as this will probably be fairly expensive, but I figured when it comes to dashcams, I shouldn't cheap out. As such, budget is not a concern (within reason of course). Thanks
I have a similar one in my C5 and daily driver and love them
Do you know if you can set the screen to only turn on when in reverse,, and then turn back off when you go back into gear?? I prefer having a regular mirror as compared to a screen, but I was thinking this would be really useful to use as a backup camera in place of swapping to a double din (I prefer single din). Is there a hardwire kit for it? Also, how subtle does it look when installed? If you could snap a photo of it in your car, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the recommendation 😀

Here's my original thread from a couple years back which should answer most questions
Thanks so much, the only thing I'm still not sure on is whether I can set the mirror screen to be off at all times except when you go into reverse. From what I can tell, there's an option to have it always on or always off, but I'm not sure about having it only be on under certain conditions
Yes, there's a power button on mine to shut it off so it can be a regular mirror but I have found that the screen is MUCH better than a mirror. (Can't vouch other models)
You don't see the headrests inside of the car, the picture is super bright & clear with 1080p resolution (new ones are in 4k) and you also get a 180* field of view so you can still see cars behind you when they're up to your driver door.
I haven't regretted installing in both of my cars for one minute
