Bad news to report. I was driving home from the golf course, enjoying the nice, sunny day, stopped at an intersection Three cars in front of me. Then, BAM, I got hit by a city bus. It pushed me under the Mercedes in front of me. All people are OK, but if the bus pushes me another two feet, that Mercedes collapses the windshield and it might be a different story.
The car was perfect: 33,000 original miles, loaded, perfect paint, leather, rag top, everything. Insurance has determined it is a total loss (in part because I told them I would not accept any 'paint blending' to match existing. Car is now at the salvage yard waiting to be auctioned. If you need any parts for a C5, the engine, manual transmission, gauges, seats, top, wiring harness, driver's door, left rear panel, (and much more) are all undamaged. https://www.copart.com/lot/46574481/...-washington-dc
What the actual **** was that Bus driver doing? Glad every one is ok. You can get another C5.
I'm glad youre OK physically. Driver was probably texting, or may even have been online!!!! Amazing everyone's OK. Of course, if they weren't, the ignoramus driving the bus would still come out of it without a scratch. Good thing you weren't on a motorcycle!!!!

Glad u r ok, but man hard to see your beautiful C5 racked up like that. Get an attorney. I imagine you will be able to upgrade to a C7 or C8 by the time he's done with them. Best of luck.

Do you know how hard it is to get a REALLY good one? It isn't easy.
Especially if you've put blood, sweat, tears, and big $$ into one, getting it just the way you want it. But at least the poor guy is above ground, and can still look for a replacement!!
Someone was looking over you. Glad you are ok. With it being a convertible, a few more feet and the results could of been tragic. What did your insurance company offer you when they totaled it?
