Can anyone provide any estimates as to when to expect the C6 OEM manual shifter to be back in stock? They've been on back order since March of 2021. If it's part of the general parts shortage, then it's an unknown time frame for restock. Just curious if anyone has any inside information. Thanks in advance!
I don't have any personal knowledge, but I would think that a shifter, by itself, is a low demand part, let alone one for an older car. If you have your heart set on one, I wish you good luck, but I wouldn't be holding my breath.........

Why not post a wanted to buy thread in the C6 Parts for Sale section and see if someone has a perfectly good shifter they want to sell? Perhaps a C6 owner upgrade their stock shifter to something else.

They are a popular shifter upgrade and eventually be restocked. Just curious if anyone had any inside info. Thanks for the reply!
Even working at a dealership won't get you any insider info. When it comes, it comes. Especially now. A lot of parts are on backorder with no ETA. It's not exactly fun right now.

It seems as GM is keeping their mouth shut as to why this is an issue...Appreciate the reply!
It's not some conspiracy.... supply lines for EVERYTHING are broken.
Labor and raw materials for almost everything are in short supply or expensive. You know what else is on national backorder right now? Factory GM side steps for crew cab Silverados. All of these parts are made by a myriad of suppliers and they're all having the same issue.

I'm not trying to bust your chops, or "rain on your parade", and I do know that the C-6 shifter is a somewhat popular upgrade for the C-5. But you have to be realistic. As "stingroo" has mentioned, supply chains all over the country, for all sorts of consumer commodities are in trouble. In your case, you're looking for an OE shifter for a limited production car, that has been out of production, for 8 years. It's just NOT going to be something that's a high priority, in GM's replacement parts network.

No sweat off my back. Probably going to get a used one. Found a good one at a junkyard. Appreciate the reply!
