Hello All, I'd like to do a little reinforcement of the rear, and start saving for a C6 setup with axles and such, but for now I am just looking to add some strength and I will just be careful while racing. I've seem some less expensive models, but once you go to the videos, almost all of them require some modification of the holes, a little chopping and nipping to get them to fit. Here's one I've not seen before and I was wondering if anyone has used this one, and was it a simple drop it, or did it require modification as well? Price seems great.
IMO, a Pfadt diff mount is much better. They're sold under a different name IIRC at Summitt. I also used a ECS trans brace in conjunction for a little piece of mind.
zeevette, being that I am no expert on these, can you go into more detail as to what makes the pfadt diff mount superior? It is prettier, but in what way is it better ? This would be helpful if I was to look at any of these, I really thought that mainly what seems to be happening is removal of the rubber. But, like I said, no expert on the various replacements except for the fact that some of them require modification to get them to fit.
Best I can describe is the Pfadt type brace has arms that extend to both sides of the transverse leaf spring. You can even adjust the contace with spacers that act kind of like an old "slapper" traction bar. To reduce vibration, I covered all metal to metal points with reinforced silicone I scrounged from an old intake coupler. On my application there's no vibration, and it feels like I added a stiffer anti-roll bar.
PS: The brace you have pictured doesn't look like it provides any advantage over a stock mount.

I purchased one of these for my supercharged 99 (528 rwhp) because of severe wheel hop. It was an easy install and it really helped with the wheel hop. But, I still have some, enough wheel hop I'm looking at buying this:https://www.ebay.com/itm/32344831525...53.m1438.l2649
