Default Do C8 wheels fit a C5???

I see a lot of stock C8 wheels for sale. Has anyone tried them on a C5? If so, any photos?
Tnx

Its been done, but they don't directly bolt on. You either need adapters or to machine the center bore of the wheel to the larger C5/6/7 bore.

I thought the bolt pattern was also different.

The bolt pattern is 5x120 vs 5x120.65 on the C5. In addition to the hub bore that was mentioned, the C8 used 14mm studs vs 12mm studs. I dont think the 12mm lug nuts will fit right on the wheel.

Stingroo, DJohn, and Kubs,
Thanks for the fast response and info.
I'll consider something else.
Tnx,

Hopefully not since they are a terrible design.

Contrary to the above posts, installing C8 wheels isn't that difficult. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s-on-c5-2.html

Sad thing is the 5 spoke look better on the C5. Both sets of C8Z wheels are fantastic and GM can't give the Stingray a good option.

So, not being satisfied with the present lineup of cookie-cutter wheels and wanting to expand one's options, is tomfoolery? lol

AHAHA no, tomfoolery using ugly C8 wheels.

I'm half kidding causing a fuss. Not my car not my problem, but C8 wheels are still ugly lol

Exactly what I was thinking, thats the only thing I don't like about the C8's. Probably why you see so many sets for sale.

I know most of us don't like the oem C8 wheels but here's something to keep in mind when used aftermarket wheels for that car start showing up in the classifieds. C8 wheels are a closer fit to C5's, than a C6 or C7, in that only a set of small spacers will be needed for fitment.

Found these photos of a C6 with C8 wheels, today, here in the Austin area.

Looks better, and downright good, IMO, on the more angular C6.
