TY I had heard to use the C6 struts a few years ago. I was thinking of coil overs but just dont think I need them .

The C5 uses shocks, not struts. Due to the age of the car, I would go ahead and replace them - get some C6 Z06 shocks.

I think you basically knew that they are shocks but just use the term struts...both shocks and struts serve the same purpose.....stabilization....you will not need coilovers because the C6 Z06 shocks do an excellent job at stabilizing your Vette...you won't be disappointed...you can get them from Rock Auto at good prices...email me Directly at

For normal driving of a Corvette, the C6Z is a good, economical shock to use, if you were into autocrossing, HPDE, etc there are better ones to use.

I agree that swapping out for C6 Z06 shocks would be a good idea. You might want to consider swapping out your sway bars for C6 Z06 sway bars at the same time. These two together will really improve your handling without breaking the bank. I agree that given what you do with the car that coilovers would be an unnecessary expense.
