Siphoning gas
I tried to siphon gas from my 03 Z06. The siphon tube is about 1/2" i.d. . The tube went in about a foot and then stopped. It would not go any further. I didnt want to try and force it but no matter what I did, it wouldnt go any further.
Has anyone had success and if so, what did you do to get the tube down into the tank?

This is for a C6 but should work for a C5 just look at your under hood fuse box for the right relay

What i did was similar to the post shared above, I just used a tool to bypass the relay...
I drianed my fuel tank so i could refil the generator during a hurricane before.
I took the scrader valve out of the fuel rail, attached an old r 12 ac hose to it without the scrader valves in the hose, ran that to a fuel can.
took out the fuel pump relay from the fusebox under the hood and used a relay jumper similar to this to turn the fuel pump on and drain the tank:
