the guy I bought my car from said to only use "The corvette shop". in Costa Mesa, no matter how far I had to drive. Good enough of a recommendation for me, the guy seemed solid and carried pictures of the car in his wallet instead of, as he said, his grandkids.
That place was a little too far for me, so have no personal experience with the place, save for experiencing the AC repairs they completed .

Welcome to the forum. I must say, with the newest smog laws there (aka, the no tune law), I'd be thinking "only California residents" if I lived there, too. A buddy of mine moved to California in 1982. He has a couple of '23 Ts, and finally had enough of the DMV last year, so he moved to neighboring AZ after enduring 38 years there.
