Hi, has anyone tried the steering wheel covers that you put on with a needle and thread? My wheel is starting to show it's age and l was thinking of getting one from wheel skins. I just don't want it to look crappy and cheap.Thank you.
The Wheelskins covers are really nice. But it's all in the work and time you take to do a good job. I don't have the patience for them, but my dad used to love putting them on all his cars and would do perfect baseball stitching on them all.

Done right, the cover can look pretty good. It won’t be the same as a recovered unit, but it will make the wheel look much better at a fraction of the cost.
I've used Wheelskins on many of my cars over the years. Take your time, use the baseball stitch, which is more intricate and time-consuming than the standard single slant stitch, and don't hesitate to pull out sections and redo if it's not right.
