Aux adapter
I have looks up all type of systems and Discount Car has something close but out of stock and you have to have a working CD changer. I have watched a video on taping into the head unit. Why can't I tap into the plug in the back.
I purchased mine there, took a couple hours to remove center console, radio bezel, heat/ac head unit, youtube has a few vids. Took me a little longer cause the car is mint and also...you don't have to disconnect the gas door cable as some say.
Just gently move that glove box part back once it's loose to get the shifter section out.
Edit: I re-read and understand now that you wanted to tap the cd changer wire... I didn't have that cd harness installed so this was my only option.

The version I bought last year I couldn't find on the site. They now show this unit called GM10-Aux which it seems is also not available anymore: https://www.oemautosound.com/p-30-ch...-gm10-aux.aspx
The PXHGM2 Harness makes it possible to connect/install Peripheral, iSimple, Neo branded PXDX (Aux2car), PCD10, PXDP (iPod2car) in select 1995-05 GM vehicles wired with CD changer. Found here: https://www.discountcarstereo.com/pxhgm2.html
So it seems you can get the PXDX alone here for $60 https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...xBox-PXDX.html
Now I don't have a cd changer so the harness in my first post (PXHGM4) plugs into radio head unit which is what I used... Hope this helped

Worked out great! I used a small foam pad between the PXDX box then zip tied to metal brace behind heating unit. Zip tied the Aux input wire to active handling wire harness back to the glove box in center console so I can leave the wire and phone or ipod in the glove box and use charger port in there as well.
