...and I just got back from the tire shop with my pimpy, shiny chrome replica wheels with the stock tires on them (have auto-x tires on the stock wheels.) And I can't mount them since my garage is so narrow I can't pull the wheels off the car inside it. :cry
Rain is good once in a while. It keeps the forests from turning to toast. I will never forget the summer of 99 in Florida with nite time glows of the fires and daytime haze and smell. Like living in hell.
The Peoples Republic of California especially its southern regions rarely get rain.....so it is natural for the natives to get restless when the liquid stuff falls. Plus dirt with enough water turns into? Yes, boys and girls....mud.

Been raining on and off up here. Snow just started to fall on the lower mountains and the plows are keeping the pass clear.
The sun came out today, no rain and 40 degrees. I was tempted to get the Vette out and just drive "a little" but couldn't due to errand running.
They say the weather will be clear through most of NorCal and SoOregon from Sunday through Wensday... We will see.
I can't imagine not driving the Vette if it rains, since it rains here a lot during the winter. I just go out and drive the car. So it gets a little dirty. That's no big deal. I wash the car once every two weeks and all is well.
The price is plummeting on Z06s so I don't see much point in protecting my 'inverstment' by not driving the car in rain.
Well, I woke up to damp ground and threatening skies but no rain. So on went the wheels. It was drizzling on and off so as a (transplanted from NY) Californian I am surprised I did not melt! ;)
I put on the OE Concepts chrome replica wheels. The center caps are super tight...aarrgghh. :cuss After installing the first one I pulled off the spring clips on the other 3. Also the lug covers are garbage. Very hard to screw on. I noticed they are a different design from stock. Well, I suppose that is why these wheels are $1,250 for a complete set and stock ones list for ~$575 EACH!
I am with you Jhodel. I had some guy give me $h@t the other day for driving my Z in the rain. He had an elitest attitude about how he would never drive his Z in the rain. I quickly offered to give him a few lessons in driving a powerful car, since he obviously can not handle his in wet weather!
I also mentioned that they have a new option available on Z's. Must have started about the time when I bought my car . . . it was called waterproofing and windshield wipers!!

I agree. Some people act like it's a rare classic  (think '63 split window or an L88.) They are great cars, but not garage queens. My wife asked if I was going to join a Corvette club when I got the car. I said no, that I didn't want to hang out with Corvette owners. People who say you shouldn't drive your Vette in the rain are just the types I was talking about.
