C5 fuel tank(s) needed

I have heavy smell of gas inside my 2004 5.7 liter 6 speed convertible. Looking for reliable place to buy serviceable gas tanks and/ or parts.

there was a recall on some 04's, parts try Vettenuts !!!!

Do you know if it's the tank itself, or the crossover tube? Sounds like a bit of diag is in order.

Fuel tanks are difficult to ship. I got one for my '02 from Vette Villains. Great guys there.

I believe mine was sourced new from Zip Corvette. However, a used one from Vettenuts will be cheaper.

There was a set on toledo Ohio Craig list a couple days ago, go under auto parts/ corvette. Not sure if there still on there

Those tanks are still listed today. Detroit Craig list 734 560 8420 for $100

That's a steal if anywhere near OP. Don't think I'd put the person's phone number out there on a public forum though when a link to the ad would suffice.

Bear in mind the tanks for late 03 and 04 are different.

Fuel tank

Had mine done my Chevrolet dealership, did great job! They broke fuel pump on removal, I didn't get charged for that, rear end has to be dropped down, and it will need a aliment after it is complete
