Very Good condition, Car runs Great
At this point my honest advice would be to keep the car. What you describe sounds like a great car. You have clearly put a great deal of time and money into it. Unfortunately, you don't really make any of that back when you sell the car. The bottom line is that this is a '97 coupe with 89K miles. The mods will reduce your pool of buyers as many are looking for stock. If you do find someone who was going to do what you did anyway, you might be able to get a little bit extra, but not much. You can probably get $15K. If you're really really lucky, the right buyer might go as high as $18K. I don't know how desperate to sell you are. If you have time, I would price it a bit higher, and be willing to take less. If your really need it gone now, price it as low as you'd be willing to take for it.
Picked up my C5 from Green Bay. Got it for $14,700. They took off $300 because the pass window didn't work. Yeah, a small whack with a hammer woke it right up. The car has long tubes, a bassani, a cold air intake, and a tune. Runs really well. Has 75k on it. If it was stock I would have added the exhaust eventually along with the other things. Probably saved me 3k.
That may give you a clue as to what to ask. I like the thinking above as to keeping the car. I wasn't going to buy a car that had been cracked open so to speak. Many times you think you're getting a good car only to find you've bought another guy's problems.
MWWARLORD I hate to sell it as it is a fun car, however, I also have a 2000 conv which I am building a 416 for, a 1982 which I am finishing up, it has a 383 487hp I built and an 87 waiting in the shadows waiting fot its makeover to start, Yes I will truly miss the 97 it is a blast to drive. I also have several bills I would like to pay off.
I looked up this year with miles listed with 6 speed manual silver in color and what all options I guessed it most likely came with for zip code in Chandler, AZ, and thought it seemed less than I expected, of course I want it to be much more since I have a 1999 and guessing it’s in the same age group.
I ran it for the best shape, and the 2nd best shape.
Of course no way to say it has a newer more powerful engine and upgraded transmission and the modifications.
KBB was saying 10 k plus a few hundred for the 2nd best overall condition, and I think 11,400.00 for the very best overall condition.
