Default Windshield replacement woes

Unfortunately I recently acquired a rock chip which quickly spread to a large crack. Insurance is willing to fully cover the costs, however no one local can get the weather strip that I will likely need...does anyone know of any good aftermarket vendors, or a source of an OEM? Any input is appreciated!

My advice? Make the insurance company find everything you need. That's why you have insurance. Bitch and bitch and bitch if you have to.

Thank you for your reply. Between the part being discontinued, and current supply chain shortages, (along with me wanting the job done correctly) I am more than willing to work with the insurance company to find the best solution. We have been at it for a week now, with no luck. I know several approved forum vendors frequent this site and I'm hoping one might chirp in for some advice. The part number I will likely need is GM part # 10333466. I ran a search on the forum and this seems to be a common dilemma.

Always a good place to look. They have the 2004 ZO6 shocks that no one could find.

Many on this forum have been looking and waiting for the C5 windshield seal including myself. Corvette Rubber is reportedly making one available this Fall. You might check with them.

All-
I just got this response from Corvette Rubber Company regarding my inquiry as to the availability of the reproduction C5 windshield seal that they are working on. I do not know of any other vender who plans to make one available. We will have to wait for now. I took the insurance payout on my windshield and banking the funds until the seal is available, then hopefully in the near future get the windshield replaced.

From Corvette Rubber- 10/19/2021
At the risk of sounding like a broken record...not yet.
I apologize that this is dragging on (trust me, no one want this project brought into production sooner than me).

We do have the side extrusion and molds for the bottom of the A-Pillar, and will probably begin working ahead on that step. We are still waiting on the molds for the top corner along with the actual top center piece extrusion. I appreciate the vendors we are working with on these complicated components, however, it is frustrating for me as well to not be able to control the time aspect.

My goal is to still have it available by the end of the year, sorry I can't give anything more definitive.
