Love the look, I've been wanting a set of C6 Z06 wheels since before I've even owned a Vette. Finally pulled the trigger today but have been antsy about poke... Will definitely be looking into these sizes.

Your car looks amazing!

Thanks. I drive this car more than I drive my Redeye lately. Such a fun car plus it’s got a nice cam in it so it sounds really good too

I went to KDTV website and was looking at ordering the round type lights. What is the design purpose of adding the resistor to the wiring harness? Is there a flicker in light output if not used ?

Also; Do you have any customer or actual photos for the bezels yet?

Thanks for any replies.
Have a super day

The resistor is just to allow the lights to close without flicking to the high beam setting. On low beam, they don't draw enough current to activate the motors 100% of the time. Same thing as if you put LEDs in the stock housings.

No bezels yet. They haven't started shipping, but I can tell you I ordered a set and will be installing them the same day they get to me!

Hary, I'm glad to hear that you're finally upgrading your headlights. I think you'll be pleased.

The fat lady hasn't sung yet. I still want a more factory style light but left with the dismal choices the KnightDrive units would be a much needed upgrade. I still have a wildcard I will try as a real affordable factory fit upgrade that would look OE but take some fitting tweaks

The bezels are still being molded/produced. I am releasing a new light shortly that will have a more OEM+ look, while retaining modern lighting. I am facing a huge supply problem...the worst ever, since I began, so the current lights may be discontinued.

Thank you for the candid honesty. I appreciate hard work and follow thru that you consistently perform so I'll wait to see what transpires.

My hope still remains for a "factory" replacement headlight that meets or exceeds OE quality not the Chinese a dada units that are proliferating the marketplace.

Have you entertained the idea of an LED projector factory replacement headlight unit like the Hella Euro Light sans fluting Damian ?
Thanks for the reply

Damien,
What are the prospects if replacement LED's are needed down the road?
When you introduced the squares, you indicated that it would not be a problem.
Has that changed?
This isn't accusatory; I'm just asking.

Been very happy with these lights. Running on the car for 1.5 years now, no issues, super crazy bright. Excited for the bezels to finish off the kit. Thanks Damien for the quality lights!

Hary, I get this approach from some folks from time to time. I can tell you, emphatically, that avoiding China isn't possible. Hella, Diode Dynamics, KC...these are lights being ASSEMBLED in the USA, but they are using imported LED's 100%. You cannot avoid the chinese/mexico/pakistan supply chain on LED's, this information is widely available via govt websites. I will design what I can produce and sell affordably to people. I have no interest in selling 1000.00 headlights or 1500.00 headlights, like others have done, which frankly were still all Chinese based products. I use various types of methods to undercut and create product affordably so more people can enjoy the product. In the case of the upcoming light, I will be designing the entire light, having molds made, etc. I want to incorporate various lighting options, but that's still all up in the air.

I have a number of suppliers on the line, and we are discussing options. I don't foresee my ability to obtain the lights going away, but there are just big speedbumps right now. There are a myriad of "factories" that made these, but china is clearly experiencing a lot of financial disruption and recession, and I think it's impacting a lot of these lighting companies. I'm going to be talking to a number of manufacturers at sema to see what can be done. I have almost 1000 lights caught in customs right now, and we'll see what happens there.

Big supply held by customs has been paid for/cleared and I'm working with ANOTHER supplier. I've found a company that sells a LOAD of these to Russia (the housings/internal optics), therefore they say they can secure and build me lights easily. I have a current supplier that hopefully checks out, but I'm going to secure another. Once this is complete, there will be much stock going into 2024 I think.

I’m sorry. My comment was never intended to impune your lights or any products from China specifically.
Honestly, I have absolutely no issues with CoO (country of origin) I do have issue with low quality and substandard materials used in C5 projectors commonly used now.
As for me, I still think it would be worth more to buy a “quality” mini LED that fits in the OE housing.
That was more of the message.
Quality made OE size and shape mini bi-LED projector headlights
