Default Which Dremel for cleaning grounds or something else?

I'm thinking of using a Dremel for cleaning grounds. Do you recommend a Dremel and if so which size, corded or cordless?
Would you recommend something other than a rotary tool for cleaning grounds?
Thanks in advance.

I cleaned all the grounds on my C5 in January of 2010 using common wet/dry grit paper by hand to get shiny metallic surfaces on both the frame connections and the wire terminals. I used small stainless steel brushes on the connectors with multiple prongs and a tiny file to clean prong recesses in the respective plug. Assembled ALL with ample dielectric grease on the contacts, plug or prong terminal, wire terminal(s) and attaching nuts and washers. Be careful of the ground studs welded to the frame, they may not take much torque. I broke one off at the driver side front near the headlight and had to drill and tap an alternate screwed in stud--with plenty of dielectric grease of course,

So far so good, but only coming up on twelve years, 40,000 more miles and 23 track days.

Just use whatever size you need to get access to the ground connector…I’ve used a small wire brush or emery cloth and as far as dielectric grease that stuff is an insulator so be careful when using it on the cars computer connectors or and any low voltage circuits..they do make a conductive grease. For computer connectors like the PCM or BCM I use Stabilant 122 which improves the conductivity of a connector …it’s pricey but it’s good !!

I removed the multi-pin (non-wire side) part of the connector and polished the metal with metal polish using a Dremel wool felt bit. Some "Super Lube" anti-corrosion and connector gel from Synco Chemical Corp. was added to the pins and main connection to the car frame.
Here's one after polishing and cleaning.

That is one clean connector. Nice job you did there.

Thanks for the input guys. I bought a Dremel 3000 today. I already had some Ox-Gard for the grounds, it's supposed to resist oxidation and promote conductivity, a little on the pricey side. I'll see how it performs.
When it runs out, I might just use some long fibre or marine grease.
Cheers,
Mark
