I love my 99 FRC. For all the same reasons, everyone else here, loves their car. The speed, excitement, looks etc. But the thing I cherish the most about my car, is the additional bonding, me and my son have been experiencing. I hope all of you all, are experiencing something similar. I wouldn't trade anything for those time, times to come. The Corvette is a iconic car. And maybe that's the reason, it brings people together. Even strangers. Rather it's a fellow Corvette owner, or just some stranger, wanting to look at your car and talk about it.
I love to hear from anyone experiencing anything similar. My son owns a beautiful 99 coupe hatchback. And I own a 99 FRC. Attached are some pictures. Would love to see your pictures too. My Hardtop and my son's coupe My Hartop and my son's coupe.
That’s very cool and enviable that you have a son that shares in your love of Corvettes!
I don’t have a son, but my love for the car and hobby has made many very good friends all over this great country.
Nice couple of cars you have and glad it's a binding item too. I don't have a son either but a grandson. He's only 6 so I'm hoping to have a smidge of something like you have. I do have a bunch of brothers I see at shows and gatherings too.
Two great looking C5's. Nice photos and back drops.
I have experienced a similar bond with my sons, brother, uncle and friends. Corvettes bring people together. We all share that common bond here. I have made friends here over the years. Some I have met and others I look forward to meeting some day.
Very similar to my father and I. He got his first vette in 2009 and since then continued to get a new one about every 2 years. I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy the cars with him, go to the museum for gatherings, attend car shows and drive them at my convenience. It wasnt until this year that I was able to purchase my first vette and we both drove our vettes down to the museum. It is for sure something special and I enjoy that hobby we have together.

it's awesome to hear others are having similar experiences. I appreciate everyone's responses. I love to see pictures of everyone else's cars too.
I have to be content that my son is a car enthusiast. The appreciates my car but he likes Porsche and a few others. He seems to be leaning a little close to the Corvette with the intro of the C8. With 3 kids 6 and under he will probably make himself content with his 370Z and Cayenne.
My son and I bothj have two C5s. We both have Z06 Commeorative cars, he also has an 04 Spiral Gray Coupe with a nasty 416 stroker in it, and I have an 01 Mag Red Vert.
Wanted a Corvette since I saw it in 1953. Life got in the way until 2002 c-5 z51 my son and joined me in searching for this car. Bought it, lots of fun. My c-8 is being built and again my son helped me order. He has a 2021.
the 02 will go to him in the future, because of sentimental reasons. My daughter will get, if she wants, the 22.
My while my father loved cars, he wasn't much of a Corvette guy (he had six kids, so two seaters were out). He taught me how to work on cars etc. I can remember as a kid being at the local Chevy dealership and seeing a brand new 1978 25th Anniversary Pace Edition Corvette in the showroom. I told him someday I'll own a Corvette. Before he passed, I was the owner of three C5s. He thought I was crazy when I showed him my 98 as it had 767 rwhp. He could always hear me coming to his house
I don't have a son, but I have certainly experienced how Corvettes bring people together. I have several friends from this forum that I would never have known if it weren't for my car.
