I got a quote Knock Sensors 1998 coupe 114k, in addition GM spark plugs w GM Red wires.
$1500.00
In Odessa Fl, what are your thoughts, a bit excessive? That should include gaskets.

Sounds QUITE excessive. Anyway, if you can't do this yourself, check out R&B Auto Electric in Pinellas Park. They do excellent work. Specialize in Cadillac's and Corvette's. Phone# is (727) 430-8750. Ask for A.J. Hope this helps......

Was this a dealer quote? Do knock sensors require ECU reset?
Plugs and wires are a couple of hours, and $200 in parts, intake manifold is another two hours and $50 for gaskets, one hour and $100 for sensors: should be around $850 - unless the dealer labor rate is on the order of $150/hour, or parts profit is more than the traditional 100%…

Auto zone manager recommended Plaza Firestone near Odessa Fl. I will need sensors and harnesses while Im at it. I was thinking $900 with plugs and wires. Thanks!

Does seem rather high on the price. Always best to shop around with competent shops and see what the quotes turn out to be.

Do bear in mind that any shop where the tech isn't seriously C5 and up Corvette savvy may need a couple of insights, particularly if the might need to lift the car. I picked a place for an oil change once (once!) because they already had a C6 on a lift. It was a pit operation, so they didn't need to lift my car, but while looking at the C6 while my change was in process, it was readily apparent they had lifted the C6 by the frame and rocker panels, no pucks.
