I guess the only way the rears wouldn't rub is if you only drive in a straight line. Other than that the rears will rub and I say mini tub will do the fix.

I had a ‘80 T/A Indy Pace Car BITD (no pics handy unfortunately) and I also bought a ‘98 Mustang GT convertible a couple years back to ’flip’ and I was finally able to do the white on white which I always wanted to do.
