I've been on the hunt for a decent C5. I found a listing for a 2000 convertible, and it's only got 45k miles on it. I haven't looked at it in person yet, so all I've got is mediocre dealer pics. There was one spot that looks odd to me, where the cowl meets the windshield. Looking just above the passenger side wiper arm, there seems to be an odd gap. Is that a problem? Will it leak water where you don't want water? I suspect it just goes to wherever the vents drain, but I'm not certain. Thoughts?
Excellent, thank you both very much! If I get that car, I'll add that repair to the "things a 21 year old car needs" list, haha! I figured there would be something beyond the typical fluids that needs attention.

My 2000 had the seal pulling away from the cowl in the same area, so I removed the cowl and glued it back in with some crazy glue and it seems to have held. While everything was apart l took the time to clean out debris from the mesh on the drivers side and paint the cowl and wiper arms satin black. I believe having too long a wiper blade on the passenger side causes the wiper to 'grab' the seal every time it leaves the park position, so I switched out to slightly shorter blades as well.
