You need to keep the stock unit if you care about the CD changer. Keep in mind that a good modern head unit will make your CDs obsolete. You could likely put every single CD you own onto a single flash drive, and then attach that to your new unit. You could also attach it to your phone, and stream pretty much any song on the planet.
Just like the vinyl, CD will not be obsolete. Sure wish I kept my 8 track player. So keep it. You never know when there will be an electronic bridge connector made. It all depends on demand.

I agree. Flash drives do have their place. But a CD makes it really easy to find, and know, exactly what you're going to play. One look at the CD, and you know what you're going to hear. Not as easy to misplace as a flash drive, either. Ill admit I NEVER thought I'd see the day vinyl would come back, so, who knows.....My .02
