Default Comm Ed Z06

I have an opportunity to purchase a Commemorative Edition Z06 which was originally built & shipped to Canada. It’s now @ a Dealer here in the States. What is the rarity of a Comm Ed sent overseas (Canada).? Anybody know out of the 2025 produced, how many of that total were designated for Canada? This Corvette has the 300 kilometer (speedometer) versus the 200mph gauge. Other than that, after a lot of searching, I can’t find out too much more of a difference from the Comm Ed designated for the US versus ones headed to Canada.

Any C5 historians on the Forum help me out here before I commit to buy this beauty of only 10,500 miles showing on the car?

A BIG heads up to you if you can guys!! Thanks

I mean... Bumping the topic so you get an answer. Cool car. I hope you put ten times the miles on it.

But buying a car for an obscure rarity point seems an odd flex.

Which Corvette is BEST Corvette?

No where in my post did I ever say I was buying this Z simply because it was “rare”. Must have me mixed up with someone else.

Thanks for the bump though.

not sure about Canada, but I now Euro exports were required to have an amber side marker light on the front fender, it was there in place of the Z06 emblem. I have an original Chevy sales book that I can look and see if it mentions anything. I love my CE Z06, original owner too!

Default Comm Ed

Zipity-
learned early on In messaging with the “supposed” seller of this Canadian Comm Ed that something was fishy. First off the price, $24k? Then learned after I ran an autocheck, it was registered in Oklahoma NOT North Carolina. Questioned them on that & agreed that it WAS registered in Oklahoma but is currently in NC?? They also offered FREE worldwide shipping!!! Asked for their address because I told them I had decided to drive there to view it…. Multiple times I asked without any answer.
So thought it was time to tell them I was a police officer & knew they were scammers.. Conversation immediately was suspended…on their behalf..
They said if I was not happy when it rolled off the truck. For me not to sign the delivery paperwork and I’d be refunded my money!!!’ What BS!!

Anyhow….. on a brighter note, congrats on you owning one of those beauties. Want to sell? HMU if you ever do…

WOW, glad you nipped that quickly! Mine isn't for sale but I may know of another one for sale. A friend owns a used car dealership and he recently was contacted about taking in a 2004 CEZ on trade, so he called me asking questions about the car. I can find out what the status is of that car if you are interested.

Would have been a great deal if it wasn't a scam. Too bad it was. I'm glad you didn't fall for it. Good luck with your search.

The only name that was given to me was
MARK VARGAS. I don’t believe that that name was actually real. The whole thing was an absolute scam so doubting any name given was a real name but totaling fictitious!!!

If you find one in Canada and in Ontario specifically, feel free to reach out to me and if they are nearby I don't mind checking it out for you. As far as differences, the cluster is opposite as in KM vs MPH and I believe daytime running lights requirements, but other than that I think it's all the same, amber corner lights, etc...

Thanks Stalion…. But I believe I’ve found the CE I’m buying here in the states. Going Sunday to inspect it but 99% sure I’ll be buying it. Completely stock, low mileage & supposedly show ready. All I do mainly is show the Corvette April-October then put her to bed in heated garage covered up with battery tender….Crazy I know……But enjoy the camaraderie with other car owners & answering any questions pertaining to Corvettes with people. What’s unique about the CE I’ll be viewing is, the NCM certified it as being #1963 of the 2025 produced. Well, 1963 was Corvettes first year with the Z06…. Little trivia.

Have a Merry Christmas !

I see you’re a ‘junior’ member. At the Bowling Green plant, if designated ‘overseas’ shipment, Canada is designated as “overseas”
