Default Tires ad nauseum

I'll bet this has been beat to death on this forum but I can't find what I'm looking for using the search function. My apologies in advance.

Right now running 275/40/18 and 245/45/17. Looking to go to 295/35/18 and 275/40/17. Any thoughts , comments, poo flinging? Will they fit? I think yes, from what I've been able to dredge up.

On non Z06 wheels? Why run a 275 on an 8.5" wheel? Not likely any gains to be had there. It'll clear just fine - but my 275s up front rubbed my DRM brake ducts a little bit during u-turns though. Without those? No issue.

On stock non Z wheels?

I wouldn't do it. It's gonna look terrible IMO and not perform as well as it should.

This is a picture from google images for reference. Not a good sidewall look

I'll admit I don't even know what kind of rim this is. It looks stock but I don't think it is. The car doesn't have the right look to it from the rear especially. Would like some wider stuff. It's about time to replace my tires and I want something I'll be happy with instead of just replacing the ones there.

I'm going with what you're running. That is the look I'm looking for. Thank you all for your input.

Those are C6 Z06 replicas. I would check, especially the rear, the width. It should be stamped on a spoke somewhere on the back. I had a set of C6 reps on my car that were 18x8 up front and 19x11 out back, so they definitely come in varying widths/sizes. Just to be safe.

It was a different time.

I sold them. lol Didn't like the replacement costs of 18/19 tires.... especially since the first and only set I bought lasted a year.

And that was BEFORE the cam swap, so worse now. lol
