I have read a few posts referring to a video that you get with your Z06, never got one myself... my question is, is it informative enough to warrant me asking the dealer to get me one? i dont even have a vcr (old technology...dvds only here...heh) so even watching it will be a bit of a hassle... can somebody shed some light on the content of it, is it just promotional like the one i got with my snowmobile or atv?

Re: Z06 video? (HU King)
I got a video with my 2002. It was interesting, but nothing to lose sleep over. I watched it once right after I picked up the car and I doubt I will ever watch it again.
If it was my car I would ask the dealer for EVERYTHING that was supposed to come with my $50k purchase.

It is promotional in nature. But it is also pretty cool. How many car manufacturers give you a video with your car telling you how to set up your new car for racing? I thought that was kinda cool.
If you ever want to sell the car, it would add a nice touch to have the video, the pen, and the tire gauge.
I bought my Z used and didn't get the pen and video. I later bought them on e-bay for a reasonable price. It is worth watching and explains some things - like cags, and what "Z06" means.
Definitely came from the factory with an owner's kit which includes the video. Go back to your delivering dealership and make them get the kit for you. It is yours after all.
I did the museum delivery and they had me watch the video at the museum so that I could keep my video in the box wrapped with plastic. They know how **** vette owners can be about documentation. Mine is still wrapped in plastic and tucked safely away with all my other documentation.
I think it is a must have. There is a great deal of respect between vette owners and if I was selling my car to someone then I would make sure that they got all the original documentation that I was given. This includes the window sticker that I have had laminated.
