I don't recall which thread referenced it first, but I did a check with Corvette Rubber Co. on their efforts to preproduce the windshield weatherstrip, and thought I would share their reply:
"Good Morning,
We are getting closer, but still waiting on 2 components to come in to be able to make a complete part. We are hopeful that we are in the last stages and should have this available sooner than later. With supply chain issues and delays this has been quite the project. We will have an announcement on our website and our Facebook page as soon as it is ready to go.
Thank you,
Meghan

Had heard you were working on a 1997-2004 Corvette windshield weahterstrip, to replace the GM 10333466, and that it was projected (at that time) for fall of 2021. Is there any prognosis on the project? I know there are quite a number of potential customers like myself out here, with pits and cracks in our glass, but afraid to change the glass until there is an option.
good to know, since I plan on running my sled for some time.
I had given up that a replacement gasket would be a possibility, given the complexities of precision molding foam rubber into complex shapes, and was glad I didn't need one.
Very gratified to know that professionals see enough demand to develop this product. One of my buying triggers on the corvette was the availability of parts as the car aged. I wanted to eliminate asking for a part for an old car in good repair and getting a look back from the parts guy like I had three heads. so, a small pleasure to see one of my used car buying triggers proved to be a good concept. now, if only GM thought product support via old parts was a relationship builder, instead of a hindrance to selling new stuff, I would be perfectly set for a long haul C5 ownership.
This place might be worth a call . They carry C5,C6, and Caddy XLR parts. I was able to get a part for my 04 that the Corvette shop and GM dealers said was not available and unable to give production date a few years back. This place had the part ( NOS) on my porch the following day. I don’t know how to do a link but here’s a screen shot of web site with there info. They do carry different weather striping just not sure if they carry what your looking for. Corvette shop couldn’t believe I found the part and that it was NOS. I would differently buy from this company again . Dave

Didn't find the weatherstrip on a look through, but did see the best price I've ever seen on a Delphi factory A/C compressor. Definitely worth checking.
Windshield weatherstrip is now available!
perusing Corvette Rubber for targa seals, found their windshield weatherstrip listed. Asked again as to availability, and got yes as an answer:
Me:
B490 is the windshield to roof and side window weatherstrip, and is now available at $800?
