I’m looking for the best bang for your buck budget headers and xpipe for a c5, so far the car is stock with a straight pipe but I plan on doing heads cam way down the line but I want to do full exhaust and intake first so what is a good preferably cheap header and mid pipe that will give me good power and sound. And also Ik I will need a tune after doing that so where can I get a tune bc I don’t really know how that works and I don’t have any dynos near me.
Speed engineering is probably the best quality setup for cheap (less than $500.00). There is no option for a catted mid-pipe, but I doubt you care about that since you're running an open exhaust anyway. Be aware that the clamps that come with the set are total ****. You will either want to buy better clamps, or ideally have the joints welded together instead of clamping them.
You can reach out to companies like ECS for a "mail order" tune. These will run you around $150.00.
You might also want to consider some form of heat shielding for your spark plug and starter wires. There are lots of other header options, but I think this best matches your request.
Chuck CoW (Corvettes of Westchester) has been doing remote tunes for years. There’s others who can hook your car up over the internet and tune it. Just search the net and you’ll find some. https://www.corvettes-of-westchester.com/
Don't buy headers for "power and sound". All off the shelf long tube headers will perform and sound similar. You buy them based off fitment and material they are made of.
