Default With a SAD HEART

With a very sad heart I want to tell everyone I have sold my Torch Red C5. I really did not want too but it ends up being the best thing to do. WHY, well my wife has very bad back problems and it is extremely hard for her to not only get into but to get out and then after out she pays dearly later on. I know a lot of guys have had a lot more Corvettes than me, but I have been fortunate to own 2. A lot of people say boy I would love to own a Corvette but never do. I will always cherish the times I owned, drove and rode in mine. I also want to thank each and every one on this forum and especially, C5 Diag for all the help. Rob your help and expertise is top notch. I am so glad to have met you and will always consider you as my friend. I am not leaving the forum; I will keep tabs of all that goes on with this great car. YES, like all the Corvettes, they are a pain in the *** and at times a lot of work, but I will miss the car, but not the good times with them, and when I see one on the road, I will admire it, but never say,, I ENVEY THEM FOR OWNING A CORVETTE, OR SAY I WISH I COULD HAVE ONE, because I have. Thank you all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 97Chuck69

I find it very cool that your wife actually rode in yours. I’ve had 3 C5’s and I’m not sure my wife has ever sat in any of them. She might have drove the first one once…maybe. Not her style…😜

Very sorry to hear about your wife's chronic back issues. I once ruptured a disc, pinched a nerve, and made my left leg go into an instant charlie horse!! Physically, there's not much that's more disabling than a bad back. You can't do anything with crippling back pain. Best of luck to you, and especially your wife. Glad you'll be sticking around...

So sorry to hear. I hope that your wife feels better. I'm glad that you had the opportunity to own and enjoy your Corvettes. Cherish the good memories. Maybe you'll have another one some day.

Very sorry to hear it, coming from someone who also has a bad back, and who bought mine from an owner who could not drive it due to back issues. My wife has also developed back issues but does enjoy the 'Vette.
Surprisingly, it doesn't bother me, yet, I'll enjoy it as long as I can.
It's great that you're willing to stick around to share your knowledge with other owners.

Your a good man Chuck and thanks you for your service.

I know what a bad back feels like and the pain it creates on your body!

My passenger seat is practically brand new, only time she will get in the car when we go to Daytona for Turkey Run, cause she also has pain getting in and out is why I bought her SUV to drive.

At least you can say you know the thrill and love of driving a Corvette.

Take care of you both, life is to short.

Sorry to hear about your wife's medical problems, but it is better if both of you can enjoy the car. Best of luck in your future car ownership.

Thank you Rob, I did tell him about the forum and the awesome people that are on it and the unlimited help available and told him to set up an account on the forum and I did give him your name and told him how helpful you were and your willingness to help other Corvette owners. I really appreciate you offering me your ride, and the one time you did let me drive it I was in my glory, because I do miss my C3, 350/350 4 SPEED, Never know I just might someday take you up on the offer, Thank you again for all of your help. And yes the new owner is local and I will tell him
