Wanting to know what injectors you guys recommend. My car is a 02 base w/ BTR stage 3 cam package, timing set, full exhaust and tune. Only thing holding me back from getting the most out of the car is the stock injectors. Just don't know which bigger ones I should go with. Thanks
I've got a set of Bosch white injectors waiting for my head/cam car.
They are 36lb/hr in their stock application, which runs less PSI than a C5... Should have 500whp headroom with ease.
Bosch short #: 62203, currently under $43 each new. I kind of chose them based upon ease of install, same height, diameter and electrical connector. Allegedly they should be easy to tune. Time will tell.

If you have a non Z06, you may be able to use the C5 Z06 injectors for a budget. Probably lower the duty cycle by at least 10%. But if more mods are in your future (they usually are, trust me!!), you'd probably be better off with even bigger injectors than the C5Z06 has. Stock LS7 are 42lb/hour, FYI.....

grinder, his car should have the 28lb injectors in it already. There is a post somewhere that explains all the different years of c5s and when they had 26s or 28s.
Regardless, I'm still skeptical he's actually running out of injector on that combo based on what others have done in the past including myself.
I easily made 420ish wheel on a mustang dyno with factory 28lbs units. Others have made even more.
EDIT
1997-1998 LS1 28.5 lbs
1999-2000 LS1 26.3 lbs
2001-2003 LS1/LS6 28.5 lbs

Thanks for clarifying. I have a 2000. I was assuming all LS1s had the 26lb injectors, and GM didn't go with the 28.5s until the '01 LS6. Guess I should never assume!!

Good info partspusher. I found this out the hard way on a 427 Darton build years ago. I bought 36lb Accel injectors. The tuner refused to tune my car with them. He said they were a SOB to tune, at least back then! So I had to sell them before ever installing them. I think they replaced with Bosch(?). It's been over 15 years ago, but I for sure remember the bath I took on the Accel injectors. Never knew injector brand could cause tuning difficulty.......
I put an Accel performance coil on my race truck back when I was Weekly Series Nascar racing. I chased a hard start, miss issue for many weeks, changed carbs, distributers grounds, everything I could think of or anyone else suggested, until the last thing I hadn't changed was the new coil. Put an old oem one on it and it ran like a scalded cat!! I don't know where that "new" coil landed when I threw it as hard as I could!
Accel is JUNK!!!!

Super easy. That's what I have in my car. They're 42 lb/hr at C5 pressures. Mine were bought as a flow matched set from eBay for less than $100. Can't complain.
One choice that used to be very popular on the forums was Ford 30lb SVO injectors. They were rated at 30lbs@3 bar pressure, so they were nearly 40lb@4bar, which is the C5 OEM fuel pressure. I believe they were plug and play with the EV connectors, but that may depend on C5 model year. Like I said, this was a long time ago, so they may not be available today. They were good injectors.......
Hi, I’m installing a LS6 intake and throttle body from a 03Z06 in my 99LS1C5 The person I’m buying these from also is selling his injectors and fuel rail. I’m thinking while i have everything torn apart i might as well buy the injectors/fuel rail from him. From reading this post it seems like i should upgrade to get the same rating as other C5’s. Thoughts? He indicated that his Z has about 45k miles. Thanks for any/all advise. If its a decent upgrade, what’s a fair price to offer?

Some points of interest. LS6 throttle body is same as an LS1 throttle body. It just has a fancy sticker on it. It will be a no gain part.
Second, going from a 26 to a 28lb injector is going to cost you money because the tune will have to be changed and you will gain nothing. You can not just swap fuel injector sizes at your leisure. Fuel rail is a no gain part as well.
