Scheduling a day for them to install in my trackhawk, while they were here, thinking of also doing the c5.
If you have one, generally, what do you think? and where did you mount it in the c5?
I didn't want to mess with an extra thing to need to have with me so I just installed a kill switch in my Hellcat, very easy to do. Hadn't thought about doing the vette, being a manual is probably security enough.

I have a kill switch, but they're easy to find, and if they really want, easy to get around. These things get ripped off all the time, and with going back into the office, trackhawk sits at a parking garage at a train station all day.
I have one in my vert, I installed it and put the "key" part in the area under the dash above the clutch pedal. It's easy to reach from inside or outside the car. It's absolutely a deterrent, the car can't be started when in use.
They seem high quality, and a good deterrent. However, I would hide a GPS tracker somewhere very out of the way, and hard to find. I'm of the opinion that with enough time and knowledge, a thief can overcome any anti-theft device. If they don't know the GPS tracker is there, then you have a chance to find the car. As anti-theft devices go though, the Ravelco does seem to be top notch. I suspect that most thieves who would actually be able to deal with it would not have much interest in a C5.

ahead of you on the GPS tracker.
Also agree with you on stealing the car, I'm acutally more concerned with someone breaking into it and stealing the headunit/amps. ravelco won't do **** for that.
I'm having them come out to install one in my trackhawk, figured while they're out here, why not.

Yeah, as you know all too well, a nice audio system will always be a target for thieves. It would be tragic if they cut up that custom interior to get at it too. All I can say is good luck.
Curious what route you’re going for that. I’d like to add a tracker but don’t want to deal with a subscription type service. Think I’ll just hide an airtag somewhere
From my personal experience (I did have a vehicle stolen) as long as you have an ‘agreed value’ with your insurance company let the hoodlums keep it - you don’t want it back. Who knows what they did with it or how hard they drove it. It may be a ‘gut punch’ to have it stolen but if you don’t get it back within 15 minutes who knows what kinda abuse it may have went through. And if you get it back the abuse that may have incurred will haunt you forever.

That's the point of the ravelco, they can't steal it .. or it's so difficult to get past it it's not worth it.
They're more likley to break in and just strip the interior of the car than bother trying to start it.
