I stumbled across this....I don't even know what to think of this. Dual "mufflers" per side with 90* inlet/outlets that quiet the system THAT much?? I can't imagine this flows well lol
It's like a giant Helmholtz resonator. Most of the flow is going to go out the back - path of least resistance - and some will go through the smaller pipes to the double mufflers.
That's pretty cool. I like that you can switch between the two modes. Glad to see this tech on a C5. I agree that the stealth mode sounds a bit hissy. I think the price is reasonable, but 'll stick with my Ti exhaust.

The "tech" is not new. Plenty of companies use a simple vacuum operated valve in exhaust systems. BB uses this one their Fusion exhaust I think.
What boggles my mind is if the valve closes and all the exhaust in a main 2.5" pipe diverts into what looks like 2" pipes and runs 90* into those baby mufflers has to be terrible for flow/power.
It's an interesting routing/approach. I really want to know what's inside those little bullet canisters.
I would imagine that's sort of the idea. When you're in stealth mode, you just want to be quiet, and you're really not worried about flow (or any power difference that flow would make). When the valve is open, you would have a good bit more flow than you would from the stock exhaust. If you're in a situation when you're worried about flow and power, just open the valve.
One hack for the C5 exhaust used to be welding in a smallish straight pipe from the bend just before the muffler to the innermost pipe coming from the muffler. Now, if that "small" pipe was replaced by a bigger pipe - same diameter as the pipe to the muffler for example, with a exhaust valve in the middle of it, that would do the same job for a much lower price. Valve closed - stock sound. Valve open, plenty of noise....

@smitty2919 built exactly what you described with success!
Smitty do you have any updates on those mufflers you built? Do you find you leave the flapper valves in a certain position more than the other?
