I have added Lucas to random cars/trucks, LOVE IT! Amazing results, engines run smoother and great mileage gains! Heading down to FL in a Altima, filled up and added Lucas. As we traveled on I-75 the range till empty started going up! Gained at least 50-60 extra miles, on that tank of gas! Always have a gallon on hand. I will be using in every tank, in every car. Let's go Brandon!!!

This is sarcasm, right? Your car's range estimate increased because you transitioned from city driving (gas station in/out) to highway driving.

Yes, I'm aware of city/hwy recalculations, that happened in the first few minutes. But as we drove down I-75, mileage till empty, kept going up, for 2-3 hours! This was probably the first time I used in GF car, I think gains were made as the cleaning was happening.
Techtron didn't work for me, but I gave it a multiple real good tries. . I finally gave up after no improvement and reasoning that in my area, all top tear gas has the additive anyway , so the problem should never have happened if it was something a chemical could improve, because I ran a lot of gas through the thing when I first got it, the good stuff only.
I think my problem is in the fuel transfer between the tanks. The gauge works fine around town, but sustained long operation throws what I assume is a reading the computer doesn't understand , and throws the gauge to empty. I think corrosion or fouling would not allow perfect function save for that one condition. I will try to get the computer adjustment mentioned in a service bulletin about this problem, and hope that works, but do know the type of liquid transfer used can be tricky, and the car is old.
Sometime, somewhere in this forum someone posted, on this subject, a photo of a PC card of the culprit part that fouls.... Answered all questions one has on this subject... This post needs that photo.

Does it run out of gas with about 7 or 8 gallons left? That is what mine did, after driving the gauge to zero, when the transfer jet pump nozzle got plugged.

This can happen under certain conditions. I have seen it on my C5 more than once. AA is right, though, unless you reset the average mpg, and the trip odometer, in this case had to be the transition in driving style. If any additive really increased mileage to that degree, apples to apples, the oil company that created it would be adding it to their fuel mix, and outselling everyone else ......
