I am the recent purveyor of a C5 from a forum member. I have been doing my fair share of routine and preventative maintenance when I noticed a new squeal coming from the engine bay. I know C5s are notorious for squeal but this started out of no where. I just removed and cleaned the MAF, Throttle Body, and air filter. So I know I didn't touch or go near any belts to affect them. Attached is a video I took after a short and very squeaky drive. Does this look like HB wobble? I marked the HB with lines to see if there any misalignment and they're all still aligned after a month or so.

Most squealing is the belts, and then it's usually related to antifreeze being spilled on them, most times due to a T-stat change. I still have my original idler pulleys and tensioner, over 20 years old, 124,000 miles. They wheels have worn to the point that there's a slight wear spot on the plastic on the wheel surface. which consequently causes a very slight diameter reduction!!!. I still have no belt squealing........
Thanks all for the replies. I will take a new video since i thought I attached one. Its instant at start up. All the hash marks I drew on the balancer are still lined up too. Ill change the idle tensioner first and hope thats it. The wobble itself seems very slight but i know everyone saysnit has to jabe literally zero wobble.
